•   459 Filme (Lang- und Kurzfilme, davon 18 Wiederholungen) gezeigt;
•   Publikumsgespräche mit 63 Regisseur*innen (davon sechs via Skype und 9 via Zoom);
•   Impulsreferate und/oder Publikumsgespräche mit 48 Referent*innen,
    Schauspielerin sowie vier Fachfrauen (Podiumsdiskussion)
    plus zwei Networking-Workshops organisiert;

Inspired by the well-known and popular Swiss women’s band “Les Reines Prochaines”, “Les Reines Tyroliénnes” was founded in 2012 by Christine Abdel-Halim, Gabi Plattner and Ingrid Wild. After the unfortunate passing of Ingrid Wild in 2018, a farewell concert was held in her honor at Treibhaus Innsbruck. In a new formation, “Les Raines Tyrolienne” – with Christine Abdel-Halim, Gabi Plattner and Mo Krenner – a public concert evening was held in 2018 to pay tribute to Ingrid – together with the samba band she founded, “Mais Uma”.

After a break of several years, “Les Reines Tyroliennes” have been reawakened to indulge in professional dilettantism – in crazy, idiosyncratic and sometimes even songs stolen from “Reines Prochaines”. The first performance takes place in honor of the “40th birthday of the “AFLZ” in Liebeneggstraße. Francesca Kreuz, a professional musician and electric bass guitarist, is now also part of the band. In all the weirdness, In all the weirdness, in all the ambiguity of the now revived poems/texts/melodies by Les Reines Prochaines, Ingrid Wild, Christine Abdel-Halim and Gabi Plattner, we are totally prepared to be vocally and instrumentally dilettantish and to make passionate mistakes.

„FROM ABOVE“ – A TRIBUTE TO JAZZ

D²a – darinka d. krpata – „from above“ – Frottage – Acryl auf Papier und Leinwand

„FROM ABOVE“ – A TRIBUTE TO JAZZ – unter diesem Motto steht in Jahresfolge nun schon zum 3.

DJ PIXIE & MO KRENNER

DISCO_HOUSE_MIX “GODDESS SHE NAMED LOVE” BY DJ PIXIE

DISCO_HOUSE_MIX “GODDESS SHE NAMED LOVE” BY DJ PIXIE This co-work on “Goodess She named Love” resulted from a co_sound_creation with DJ Pixie, a freelance artist, DJ and graphic designer. She wanted to realize a long-supported project to create a dancefloor mix. When she recognized that I was offering my songs to sound_co_creations she contacted me and I was more than happy over this co_production offering. A new frequency experiment and musical experience emerges from the studio sound recordings of voice, melody and text. Her impressive computer-technical as well as musical abilities have impressed me very much. Her version has found realization within a very short time – even if somewhat delayed by lockdowns. She produced a great fre_quency experience in her specific style using the raw vocal material which was recorded in the inntime studio by Stefan Wolf. After finishing her sound idea we worked together on the mastering – et voilà. From the very beginning we shared the idea of music and visual style. We immediately agreed on Pixies suggestion on using a frequency wave animation to emphasize the pulsating sound effects. And I just loved what she has created! Thank you Pixie – it was such an inspiration to work with you and to watch your work process – love this phantastic version

PHILLIP LECHNER & MO KRENNER

DISCO  – HOUSE – VERSION  “GODDESS SHE NAMED LOVE”

With this co-creation in collaboration with Stefan Wolf and Phillip Lechner my hopes came true. When I wrote and interpreted this song in 2018 I was already aware that I wanted this song to be produced in a very rhythmic disco recordable house version. Alldough the main idea on this is to develope in co-work with other musicians different versions and diffrent music style arise from one song.  This is the first of my songs named “Goddess she named love” which has been realized from the raw initial recording to the studio-produced song in this house disco version. Stefan, Phillip. thank you so very much for your artistic contribution – you just hit the spot – well done – thank you so much!

Stefan Wolf from Inntime Studio Tirol created the voice recording and added his guitar to it. Stefan Wolf Born in 1970 / guitar / sound engineering / studies at the “Academy of Contemporary Music” in Zurich. Stefan is a well known jazz guitarist and sound engineer in Austria. He has been working enthusiastically on expanding his stylistic repertoire, and has been allowed to practice this in numerous ensembles. The house-disco version developed from this was designed by Phillip Lechner. Phillip is a full time chef as well as a musician who writes his own songs. As a producer of independently electronic music he retains all artistic freedom and independence. The video was created from private photographs – I hope you like !

CHRISTINE ABDEL HALIM – JUDTIH KLEMENC – SYSTEMRELEVANT

The artist Judith Klemenc set the impulse for this artistic debate on the subject of women and adaptation due to the crisis, as well as politics and exclusion. Following her inner call to artistic action, Judith inspired songwriter and cabaret artist Christine Abdel-Halim to produce a song. “Systemically relevant” is the product of this artistic exchange, which was shaken from its sleeves in a short time and found its artistic implementation. An inspiration from above, according to the artist Christine, had probably given the decisive impetus. Gabi Plattner and I were asked to provide vocal support for the musical project.
The sound recordings were made in the Inntime Studio with the participation of some musicians and were released for the first time at the demonstration on May 1st, 2020 in Innsbruck. As a result, Judith Klemenc will create a video on this joint project in her public performance on May 15, 2020. I took the liberty of taking a few impressions from the studio work and the demo for you – maybe later I can add images from the performance. In this Patch-Work performance, they share a band of great jazz musicians which include Andreas Schiffer percussion, Mark Maier bass, Alexander Goidinger piano, Stefan Wolf guitar, Mar_ry Anegg trompet, Elli Jürschik violin. We were all passionately active, not least because these issues concern us so much.

“D²a” & MO KRENNER TRIBUTE TO JAZZ “strange gardens”

As a singer, I want to invite the audience to immerse themselves in the fantastic musical world of jazz and experience its diversity, embedded in visual impressions from the realm of plants expressed in the abstract painting “strange gardens” by “D²a” Darinka D. Krpata. Darinka’s passion for permaculture and bio gardening, as well as my passion for interpreting jazz, have taught us to go with the flow. Natur has it’s own way – everything must be left to the moment –  as much as my voice must find its own way. I playfully try to merch sound, voice and lyrics and leaf it to the moment. The artistic meaning of jazz is often understood as an American counterpart at the beginning of the 20th century to classical European music but foremost it is the rising voice of experiencing heart and soul in an abstraction of sound. My passion for this genre since childhood encouraged me to interpret well-known songs from various sub-styles of jazz in the FZ-Cafe.

PETRA MÜLLER, DARINKA KRPATA & MO KRENNER

FEM ABSTRACT MEETS JAZZ  –  Art as an expression of female creativity – feminist texts, sounds and rhythms of jazz embedded in abstract painting. this evening is dedicated to three creative expressions, inviting each one in their own way to engage more deeply with the effect of language, music and image.

Well-known and less well-known quotes by famous women, protagonists’ expressions stated by Petra Müller and Darinka Krpata, accompanied by well-known Jazz songs interpreted by Mo Krenner, framed by peculiar inspiration from paintings of Darinka Krpata, open up new perspectives of sinking, rising, moving, feeling, letting go, and healing.

Leaving me to say: “so much friendship, so much – worship, I worship”

Remarks to the paintings: When working on my works, my main aim is to make things positive for the viewer by spontaneously, intuitively applying the colours. My work evolves from gloomy to bright, dark transforms, optimism, power and joy take effect.

Processing technique: Frottage (French frotter “rubbing”) or attrition is an old technique. In doing so, the surface structure of a material or object is usually transferred to applied carrier material with chalk or pencil, in this case with acrylic paints. Many of us know this technique from childhood when we made coins or sheets with pencil on paper visible.

Titel of paintings: “durch licht”, “cold rain”, “alles gut”

CONVERSATION WITH THE INSTRUMENT – MO KRENNER

The Akkordeon “Argentati”  is handmade and produced in Italy – therefore born in Italy – and it is alive. By giving the instrument – or should I say the material – a name I already create in my mind a purpose for the use of it. In this creative work, step by step I abstract my personal allocation and let the material decide what it wants to say. The allowance for perspectives into the soul of the material which is full of waves, full of its own living existence. I try to have a conversation with the instrument, with the material and give it a moment, a picture, tones and sound experiences. The design of the material, as well as its unique sound and ton, is an inspiration for me to chose impulsively a form and I play with it. More and more I abstract the free interpretations of melodies in my mind for the need of mine to create in a spontaneous act not necessarily holding on to the outcome. In some cases, the sound leads me to a melody for a new song. But foremost, it is the interest in the instrument itself and what aspects it can show.  Petra immediately jumped into the idea and therefore she takes video-clips. In co-work, we do the cutting and experiment with the outcome. It is meant to be as a work in progress. To not fall into perfectionism, which I am not able to achieve in my profession of playing the instrument anyway, I open up to create a series of videos in “conversation with the instrument” which will be part of a constant process and maybe sometime will create one piece of work in a combination of different pieces. Let’s see what happens! Photos: Petra Müller

SOLEDAD NANI, KARIN FLATZ & MO KRENNER

It’s a great privilege to me that I could win the Latino Queer Tango Performer Soledad Nani and the Local Tango Dancer Karin Flatz for cooperation in taking a video clip to accentuate the new song “Tango of Entanglements”. Born and raced in Buenos Aires Solidad Nani has developed her own style of Queer Tango which she performs and teaches. From her hometown in Argentina where she lives, she has been invited to countries in Southand North America as well as to different countries in Europa. In 2020 she will be invited to South Africa. Beside teaching Tango Karin Flatz is a befriended artist as she is a painter and does sculptures as well as installations. Offering support by their dance to the video clip for the new song “Tango of Entanglements”, which I have written recently in 2019, their performance will be shown in the clip on my youtube channel in 2020 after finishing the recording of the studio version of CD called “inside”. VIDEO CONCEPT AND CLIPS – PETRA MÜLLER & MO KRENNER

This cooperation has it’s own dynamic elements and also very calm and steady impulses of the “now”. We are very happy over the fact that we gain similar ideas and point of views in producing video clips to the first versions of performances of my written song. The taping with the guitar follows my idea to hold on to the moment of a quite simple performance of the original song and later bring it in compressing to the studio version underlined by an own video clip all realised with low budget. This way I want to invite the audience not only be part of the development and growth in the working and art-progress I also want to invite them to have their own points of views to hear the difference between the original version and the final studio tape of a song. For this reason, I also want to offer a closer look into the work-experience in a ton studio which will be part of the video clips. I think Petra is doing a great job in the clipping and cutting and for the most important, we are having lots of fun and moments of laughter and never experience exhaustion in working together. We must thank the FZ-cafe as beeing a familiar and suitable place to realise our work! What a great friend you are! Photos: Petra Müller

INNTIME MUSIC & MO KRENNER

In purpose to record my first CD with the title “inside”, “InnTime music” has invited me to their studio in Mils Tyrol in February 2019. The album will be realised approximately in March 2020. Owner of the studio Stefan Wolf is one of the best jazz guitarists in Tyrol – Austria – as well as all other fellow musicians involved,  which I really appreciate. He offers his expertise as he is a great supervisor in this quite challenging process for me. It not only needs my discipline, passion as well as patients by constantly writing songs and completing my ideas of the ones I have written, It also is a very interesting experience to go with the flow in need of engaging myself. I learn constantly especially in allowing the band to carry me along with their professional realisation of music in this creative co-work. Let myself fall into a very dynamic process in the one moment of taping – band and me –  myself must meet this moment. But in this moment of trust at same, it reaches a very alive dynamic experience which is offered to the audience’s moment of receiving and may give different perspectives of sound possibilities. Thank you, my dear friends, for your support and dear sponsorship and thank you Austria for the possibility to go for grand funds!

POETRY MEETS SOUND  – PETRA MÜLLER & MO KRENNER

This collaboration according to the motto “poetry meets sound” is a work in progress for 2019 and a combination of Petra Müller’s lyrical texts and short stories as well as freestyle sounds on the accordion by Mo Krenner. Sensitively acknowledging the text gives the inspiration for the tones. As these two aspects meet the individual expressions stay alive but also form a creative dance. Lyrics will be wrapped like a coat by the sounds of voice and instruments which is a unique adventure and a wonderful personal experience for both protagonists. This could be as well exciting for the audience as it is an unpredictable task at the moment of realization. (Reading and texts by Petra Müller; reading, vocals, guitar, accordion by Mo Krenner). YAMUNA & MO KRENNER

The cooperation with Yamuna has started in 2018. Originally regarding new arrangements of her CD “Inspiration” (released in 2001). Her voice her songs her various music styles impressed me deeply and I am proud that I was asked to work with this talented musician.  In 2018 there was a new song developed called “the color of your soul” (Petra Müller lyrics; Yamunas music, vocals; Mo Krenner music, guitar, back vocals). As Yamuna and I work aside we grow in harmonizing our tones and in progressing our freestyle jamming sessions which are such an inspiration and sometimes lead to new songs. The audiences react enthusiastically and are very touched, so let’s see where it will take us. Photos: Petra Müller

“SCHUBLADENLIEDER” CHRISTINE ABDEL-HALIM

Christine Abdel-Halim is a singer, songwriter, and cabaretist. She presented her new Album “Schubladenlieder”  publicly in 2018.  The CD merges different songs and music styles mostly with feministic aspects. the title Schubladenlieder refers to songs “out of the drawer” which she has written over the years. I am very honoured and thankful to be part of some songs and be part of the project.  I have often had the privilege to be asked to join her in some of her various music-formations. Christine, you have been such an inspiration to me with your enormous talent and you have always dispelled my doubts about my musical talent. It was much fun working with you and the other artists as you are such empowerment to us all. Photos by Erwin Vindl

LES REINES TYROLIÈNNES: Christine Abdel-Halim, Gabi Plattner, Mo Krenner

Inspired by the famous Swiss women’s band “Les Reines Prochaines”, Les Reines Tyroliénnes was created in 2012 by Christine Abdel-Halim as well as Gabi Plattner and Ingrid Wild. In 2018, Ingrid Wild left this earth and I was asked to jump in. In the Treibhaus “Commemorate-Concert Ingrid Wild” in Springtime 2018. Christine Abdel- Halim, Gabi Plattner, myself as well as other artists within “Mais Uma”, gave our best to honour Ingrid Wild in deep appreciation for her as a great artist, friend and power woman. Dr. Ingrid Wild worked as a psychologist, fought and helped besides her important work in various social issues. Thank you Ingrid! Photos: Giacomo Rebuzzi

MAIS UMA: Guest Mo Krenner

“Mais Uma” is a rhythm-ensemble originated from the core of the Brasilian Samba and committed to the Latin American rhythm. This formation has existed since 1997 under the conduction of Innsbrucks percussionist, singer and songwriter Ingrid Wild. As a guest, I was privileged to join the samba formation by performing with the accordion a song that Ingrid Wild has written called “Tirol isch lei oans”. It was a big challenge for me to sing, to play the accordion and to hear those drum rhythms at the same time. Thank you so much Mais Uma for offering me have this extraordinary experience, I am happy to join you any time again!  Photos: Giacomo Rebuzzi;  mais uma http://www.maisuma.com

STEFANIE & MO KRENNER

Stefanie Moser is my niece and godchild. As a young girl, she sometimes stayed overnight and entertained a lot. One day she came with a piece of paper and with some lyrics and a melody of a Christmas song. I forced her gently to write more lyrics to get a whole song and then we worked on the framing of the song. In the end, we taped it in our living room, having a lot of fun together. I played the guitar, she sang and since ever then we have always played this song around Christmas. Now it is on youtube in the original version from 2010. Merry Christmas Stefanie, you are a grown woman now but we have this reminiscential song of your childhood which is so great! Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t24H3xwKhLk

MO & THE LADYDYKES

2009 the concert at the Livestage Innsbruck fulfilled my wish to perform with a female band on my fortieth birthday. We played covered music and entertained friends and family. That was my first experience on stage making music with other musicians.  Technical supply makes everything so different in comparison to play unplugged and it was/is challenging. It was a great time on so many levels especially in the matter of friendship, celebrating it with live music. Band: Drums Baki Keseric, Saxophone Gela Hule, E-Guitar Jennifer Auer, Bass-guitar Judith Umach, Fluit Keyboard and Guitar Chrsitine Abdel-Halim. Oh, and I bought the accordion at that time! Thank you Gerda, friends and family.

CHRISTAIN KREIDL & MO KRENNER

In my mid-twenties I wrote a song called “I won’t lie”. It was a reflection on my personal coming out as I had fallen in love with a woman. Christian Kreidl offered me to record this song in his home studio. I was studying law at that time and couldn’t afford it but he still decided to do it. The radio version was recorded in 1998. Christian Kreidl did the production, recording and mixing as well as keyboards and percussion at “kr & street records” while I was singing my song and playing the guitar. Thank you, Christian, for being so generous to me. Photos: Siliva Moser  Link: https://youtu.be/1pmxoBZMg8A
